1992
AppliChem GmbH was founded in Gatersleben, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Target: the manufacture of reference substances for environmental analysis.
1993
Dr. M. Frasch and Dr. J. Oeler took over management of the company, establishing a second facility in Heidelberg, Germany.
Additional services: synthesis of organic and inorganic chemicals for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and for providers to biotechnical research and production facilities. This laid the foundation for the product line BioChemica.
First catalog of biochemicals released including some 120 products.

1994
A sales office in Heidelberg was set up.
New laboratories in Darmstadt were launched.
A second catalog of laboratory chemicals and biochemicals was published including some 270 products.

1995
The move to larger business premises in Darmstadt, merging production and sales was organized.
Initial contacts to distribution partners in other European countries were made.
1997
We moved to a newly constructed office and laboratory building. We expanded storage capacity.
We implemented a 24 hour service.
BioChemica and Chemica product lines became available in German and English versions of the catalogs, each including some 1,000 products.
1999
We became established in markets worldwide.

In this year we planned and achieved the following goals:
the expansion of our production facilities, laboratories, and storage.
the increase in production by a factor of 6.
the certification of DIN EN ISO 9001.
2001
We presented the first English version of the General catalog .
The number of employees rose to 29 by end of the year.
2003
A General catalog in German was published.
We moved into additional lab and office space of about 1500 m2.
We set up a completely new website.
AppliChem Scandinavia was established.
2004
AppliChem has 50 employees.
Again, we moved into an additional stock room (750 m2).

AppliChem GmbH enlarges its product family of biochemicals (BioChemica) with cytokines / growth factors and products for gel filtration based on dextran.
A new subsidiary in the UK starts its operations.
